This cache is a part of a series to recognize Lincoln Parks young and old, well known and hidden.
Welcome to Bishop Heights Park! The Rock Island Trail passes through the west side of this 7.02 acre neighborhood park which is adjacent to Rousseau Elemantary School. There is a unique Public Art piece just north north west of the cache on the east side of the Rock Island Trail.
Bishop Heights was originally a 20 acre piece of land that was owned by Bishop Thomas Bonacum of the Catholic Diocese of Lincoln. It was his home from 1887 until his passing in 1911. The land fell into the hands of the city by 1929. Between 1966 to 1972 Bishop Heights was under some major devolopments guided by Parks and Rec Director, James Ager, which helped produce the park we can enjoy today.
You are looking for a micro container. Please replace as found, placed without a TOTT but the use of one could be helpful. Don't leave it out, drop it down! Pulling the anchor will not help.
Enjoy the park and happy caching!
