Geocache Description:

Cowboy was sitting around the campfire when he saw a bright streak of light in the sky.  It was a shooting star and it looked close by. Cowboy marked the direction where he thought it landed. The next morning, Cowboy saddled up and headed out to see if he could find the meteorite.  Cowboy came upon a dark-colored irregular rock that looked as if it did not belong there.  He figured he had a meteorite!

Cowboy headed to Silverton to pick up some silver to use for his Navajo friend, Two Elks in Kayenta, who had promised to make some fancy saddle conchos for Cowboy's horse if Cowboy supplied the valuable metal.  While passing Cortez, Cowboy remembered the meteorite and had heard an old German Alchemist lived there by the name of Heinrch Schliermann.  Cowboy found the German and took out his prize meteorite find.  Heinrch studied the piece under a magnifying glass, then he dropped some liquid on it that created some smoke and finally he put a magnet to the find.  Cowboy anxious to know the result said "Well, what is it?"  The German said, "It is Leverite!". Cowboy's jaw dropped and he said "What the heck is leaverite?"  The German smiled and said , “Son, you can Leaver-her-right in that box in the corner with all the other plain old leaverites "  The German chuckled saying it was not magnetic and went back to mixing chemicals.

You many need tweezers or small needle nose pliers to remove the log.
