Come out for a coffee and visit to help break the record for most explorers (geocachers and adventurers) logging a cache find, Adventure Location, or Event in a single day.
The goal is to break the record on International Geocaching Day, August 20, 2022, which is also the same day as the Geocaching 20th Anniversary Celebration Event. The current record is 126,833 explorers and it was set on August 11, 2013.
Is there a souvenir for breaking the record?
Of course there is!
If we are successful in setting a new record on August 20, GC HQ will retroactively award a souvenir a few days after August 20 to the profile of every geocacher and adventurer that helped set the new record.
When will we know if we broke the record?
We won’t know for sure whether we broke the record until the Wednesday following the Event, but check the link below for more details.
