Sept. 16. Another beautiful day in Spain! We came across our first almond and peach groves. The peaches were the leftovers from the harvest, so over ripe. The almonds were not yet ready and a bit bitter. No complaining though about free food hanging over the trail. 29.2 km got us to a bridge commissioned by the queen of Pamplona in the 10th century to provide a safe river crossing for pilgrims at. . . Puente la Reina, Navarra, Spain.
Tall rubber boots are likely required for most of the caches. Some of the ditches are very steep.
