When my husband first convinced me to move out to a rural location, one of my biggest learning curves was the water collection process. How does a cistern work!? Well water vs cistern? wait....it doesn't JUST COME FROM our tap!? I was frankly embarrased on how little I knew. Now our family trips involve getting a coffee and going for water on Sundays, and sometimes on busy days we can be waiting for quite some time for other families to fill. Luckily I cary toy puzzles in our truck for our kids to play when they're bored.
