Eisenhower State Park is a gorgeous park located on the banks of Lake Texoma and was created in 1958 to honor the 5 Star-General and eventual President - Dwight D. Eisenhower.
Dwight David "Ike" Eisenhower was an American militray officer and statesman who served as the 34trh president of the United States from 1953 - 1961. During WWII, he served as the Supreme Commander of the Allied Expeditionary Force in Europe and achieved the five-star rank of General in the Army.
Ike was born in Denison, TX just 8 miles away from the park in a small wood frame house as part of a large family. Shortly after his birth the family moved to Abilene, KS. He graduated from West Point in 1915 and began his military career. During WWII Eisenhower was responsible for commanding the invasions of Sicily, North Africa before leading the "D Day" invasion of Normandy that eventually led to the end of the war.

This one could give you some heartburn and at the same time teach you something. Inside the cammo 5 Gallon bucket are approximately 150 smaller containers most of which were collected by the CO to help control his heartburn and other ailments. I thought it only fair that I should share some of that love with the geocaching community. Each bottle contains a slip of paper - one is a log that needs to be signed to claim the log. The other 149 contain the word "NO" written in another language. So, have a seat and get to work - let me know how many you had to open to find the log and let me know which version of "NO" you like best!
Please put everything back as you found it so the next cacher gets to have the same fun as you!
