Welcome to the Toby Creek Greenway! Starting at the Mallard Creek Greenway near N Tryon Street, the greenway runs almost directly south passing through the UNC Charlotte campus and neighborhoods in the Newell area. The greenway currently ends at Autumnwood Lane near Rocky River Road, but plans are in motion to extend the greenway all the way to Orr Road with construction starting as early as 2023. The greenway is a major piece of the future Cross Charlotte Trail (XCLT) that will eventually run from the Cabarrus County line to the South Carolina state line.
This cache is one of many I plan to hide over time along all of the university area greenways. This specific cache is at the crossing of the greenway and Rocky River Road.
