Upon arrival, you are looking at a guardrail. A guardrail is, first and foremost, a safety barrier intended to shield a motorist who has left the roadway. When the consequences of striking a guardrail would be less severe than striking other objects next to the roadway – guardrails should be installed. The size and speed of the vehicle can affect guardrail performance. So can the vehicle’s orientation when it strikes the guardrail.
62 miles per hour (100 kilometers per hour) is the speed in which vehicles travel at a guardrail during the crashworthiness test. If a vehicle hits a guardrail at a higher speed, the guardrail may not operate optimally.
Guardrail Terminology:
END TERMINAL - The starting point of the guardrail.
FACE - The length of the guardrail extending from the end terminal alongside the road. Its function is always to redirect the vehicle back onto the roadway.
You are looking for a small spice container with magnets glued to it and wrapped in silver duct tape. This is not intended to be hard being on a busy road. It should be located at the end terminal. If it was replaced near the top you may need to bend down to see it.
