Those from the area know that this used to be the path for county road ZZ, which has since been rerouted just to the east. Now you could almost take a nap at this spot that doesn't get a lot of traffic anymore.
If making a quick stop, cache can be accessed from the turnaround of the dead end road. If you want to stay to explore 1000 Islands before or after this find, there is a small parking lot at the base of the hill and you can get your work out in while hiking up to the cache.
