Indian River is located on the Hiawatha National Forest in Michigan's Upper Peninsula provides beautiful and varied northwoods scenery. The river flows through a variety of settings ranging from a series of connected lakes in the upper sections, to a meandering channel in an incised valley through the middle section, to a braided channel and extensive wetland before flowing into Indian Lake.
This cache is located off one of the many trails located in Sleepy Hollow State Park. Most of the trails are hard packed making a bike a great way to get to the caches in the area. Please note there are some roots on the trails. Keep in mind during hunting season to be aware of hunters in the area. Hunting is allowed from September 15 until April 1st each year.
