Welcome to the Sac-Fox Traditional Cache

Welcome to the Sac-Fox Trail at Loud Thunder Forest Preserve.  Please take note of the following info, which will apply for all the caches along this trail.

• Please respect the posted park hours, and don't search at night. Gate is closed 10pm-6am.
• Although this trail is generally open year-round, convenient parking may not be available December to March.  Check the waypoints for summer & winter parking.
• Do not attempt to access this trail from the Scout camp to the east. That is private property.
• This is a multi-use/equestrian trail, so you may encounter horses or horse droppings. Bicycles are allowed on limited sections of the trail.
• Wear blaze orange and be smart if you're here during hunting season.
• Standard hiking protocol: watch out for snakes, ticks and other critters. Bring water and a snack. Pick up any litter you find.
• I hid all the caches within about 50 feet of a trail, so you won't need to do much bushwhacking.
• Sign the log, replace back as found, and HAVE FUN!
