The Highland Oaks Park in the northern Miami-Dade County houses one of the last remaining freshwater wetlands located at the headwaters of the renowned Oleta River. It is the only natural river remaining in the Miami-Dade County. The Highland Oaks Park is a huge park with a number of open fields. It is a favorite place for the athletes. The park also has boardwalks that are accessible by all, a fishing dock and trails.
This multi-cache will take you around the walking path that surrounds a lake at the north end of the park. There are an abundant number of birds, reptiles, insects, gators, and humans that all share this space. Your mission is to enjoy the outdoors and find these three caches. Start on the westbound footbridge. Coordinates will be found within each cache that leads to the next.
Please place clues back into containers so other cachers can enjoy!!
Enjoy your nature day!
