The Foundation has managed to secure, contain, and protect, a number of well-known cryptids and creatures from folklore, and SCP - 1000 may be the most well-known of them all. Bigfoot, as we know them today, is a creature we see as similar to, but much more primal than ourselves. However, in the world of the Foundation, things are a bit more complicated than that. They were once a highly advanced society spanning the world. From the Yetis of the Himalayas, Sasquatches of the forests of North America, Yowie of Australia, and the Almas of the Caucasus region, these beings truly controlled the world. Their origins are unclear, but it is said that they once were used by the Fae in their conflict with humans. However, they rebelled, creating a three-front war. Without spoiling the more intricate details, humanity triumphed, leaving the Children of the Night, as they are called, scattered in the wild, with no memory of their past greatness, and with us with no memory of the conflict.
This area is uniquely wild, a fitting place for a Bigfoot to call home. Here you will find the cache in a remote and undisturbed part of the city, yet not far from the unsuspecting eyes of busy citizens. Just like Bigfoot, the container hides in plain sight, but is small; a fraction of what it once was or could have been.
