This is a Letterbox Hybrid geocache. It is not at the published co-ordinates - you will need to visit these coordinates to work out the final location.
These Letterbox caches simply highlight significant individuals, from a variety of fields, who once lived behind a letterbox at this location. My thanks to tundra70 for allowing me to add to this interesting new series.
Norah Balls (1886 –1980)

Norah Elizabeth Balls, the daughter of a North Shields mariner, lived at 36 King Edward Road, Tynemouth between 1902-1936. The house was originally built for Norah’s family and named Deneside, and the current owners have reinstated the original name of the property.
She was a tireless fighter for women's rights and fought alongside suffragette leader Emmeline Pankhurst to secure the vote for women.
As well as being a prominent member of the Women’s Social and Political Union (WSPU), she was also a magistrate, a Tynemouth town councillor, and a founder member of Tynemouth Business and Professional Women’s Club, who worked constantly for the good of her community.
She helped to set up the Girl Guides movement in Northumberland, operated as an air raid warden during the Second World War, and retired to a flat in Bamburgh Castle, at the invitation of the third Lady Armstrong.
She later moved to a cottage in Bamburgh where she died in 1980, aged 94.
To calculate the final co-ordinates:
Look across the zebra crossing towards the Church. There you will see a grey metal box in front of the church wall.
It has a string of 7 characters written vertically on it, 3 letters and 4 numbers. Take each of the 4 numbers from top to bottom and assign them A-D.
The final container can be found at: N55 01.A(B-C)A W001 26.(B-C)(A+D)C
The cache is small, but does contain a stamp. Please leave this in the cache.
