Spending time with geocaching friends is something that brings me great pleasure. As Fall approaches, and schools reopen, I'm reminded of that writing assignment that usually awaited students as they returned to class. Did you ever write one of those "How I Spent My Summer Vacation" essays? Well, no essays here, only the chance to practice your verbal talent at relating your summer geocaching adventures to your geo-friends. Did you go to Geowoodstock in Canada, eh? Or maybe the 20th Anniversary Celebration (2 years later) at HQ, in Seattle? Or did you geocache your way down the Rhine River on a cruise, like I did. #BucketList No matter how you spent your summer vacation, bring your summer vacation stories and share them with others at the event.
There is absolutely no purchase necessary to attend this event. Come and sit for a while or just drop by to say "Hi!" and sign the log book. The place is familiar and so are many of the faces you'll see. Bring your travel bugs to swap or drop. If you're new to geocaching, come and meet some of the SLAGA (St. Louis Area Geocachers Association) gang. Having trouble solving a puzzle or want some pointers on where to hide your next cache? SLAGA folks are always happy to share the ins/outs of the geocaching obsession.
