Blue Truck
Once upon a time, alas, there was an act of rebellion - civil disobedience even - on Sydney's Leafy North Shore, and for many months community spirit ran creatively amok.
Thankfully, of course, good sense and tidiness won out in the end, but this sorry caper still lives on in the memories of locals - and in the geocache - “Where have all the flowers gone?" (GC8D1ZX) - maintained as a sober reminder of the unseemly mini-breach of Cremorne public order.

Not that far away as the bush turkey flies, lies beautiful harbour-side Kirribilli, home to the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron and the Official Residences of Australia's Governor-General and Prime Minister. But apparently that earlier act of rebellion may have sparked another unfortunate episode...

At a very ordinary crossroads, in a kerbside mini-garden filled with the usual unremarkable drab public shrubs, some misguided soul has dared to post a challenge.... on the back of a large blue toy truck - no doubt the pride and joy of some child long grown.
This discarded treasure has seen much better days. Its paint has now faded. Rust cakes its metal frame. Its rear bumper has detached itself.

Passers-by are invited to flower up this space! Will they?
Is this urban art? Spring fever?? A quest for poetry??? A nod to trucking blues????

First there was an empty truck.
Then magically the back filled with soil.
Then someone added a couple of white flowers...

What will happen next???
The intention of this geocache is once again faithfully to record a potential urban guerilla gardening adventure from its genesis... You're in on the ground floor.
