Ferncliff Cemetery Clark county Cache is a tour of historical figures' final resting place. You will have to travel to six different sites to find information to find the cache. In this cache, you will find people that were known around the world.
Cemeteries are a great way to learn about the way a place shaped history. I am new to the area and like learning about places and people. There are many people from Springfield who made the world their playground. I have found a few of them resting in this cemetery. I have put the cord of their marker in this cache. General J. Warren Keifer. He was the speaker of the house, U.S. congressman could have been buried in Arlington Cemetery but choose Ferncliff instead. His marker is at N39° 56.249' W83° 49.248'. The history marker has this term as a member of Ohio senate 1867-a870.
George Gammon was a conductor. He was not the typical conductor because the helped the Underground railroad. He reminds us of the fight for freedom that many people have fought. His marker is at N39° 56.356' W83° 49.197. The year of his birth is b803.
General Samson Mason served in the War of 1812. He was Elected to the Ohio Legislature and the Senate. He was Us District Attorney for Ohio, His Final resting place is N39° 56.131' W83° 49.212'. The marker has the day of his July c4, 1793.
