Recently while visiting Scotland, I learned that I am part of Clan Thompson/MacThomas. Notable ancestors include Sir Thomas Thompson, who died at the Battle of Stirling Bridge fighting for William Wallace (think Braveheart). This letterbox hybrid is for all who are part of Clan Thompson, although it is open to all to find.
Clan Thompson/MacThomas is located in a wee glen near FR 300. The location is in commemoration of "Clach Na Coileach" the traditional gathering place of Clan Thompson in the Scottish Highlands near Glen Shee. Start at the posted coordinates and look for a clue hanging around that will guide you to the final, which is less than 500 feet away. Look for four large boulder clusters in a row. it is behind the second boulder from the north.
