No matter what your GPS or phone says, its not past the fence. Signals bounce around here, use your geosenses. Once you get beside it on the road, it's no more than 30 feet away.
This cache is located on Old Railway Drive/Browns Way which runs along the west side of the Contoocook River between Hillsboro and Henniker, it is actually the old railroad bed. The road is solid bottom, although there are many puddles along the way and a few rough spots to navigate, we drive our RAV4 through here without any issues. Do not park in the end of any driveways, there are many pull-offs along the way, and room to park by the fishing hole over the bridge if you walk.
Be forewarned: Approximately 3/4 mile in from the Hillsboro end, you will enter the dreaded cell phone dead zone that exists on route 202/9 between the Hillsboro & Henniker, this road actually sits lower than the highway. We took readings with both a Samsung S10 phone (had a couple bars) and a Garmin 64ST, and after settling, the readings from each were within .01 on both N & W coordinates.
