Come join me along the Upper Mystic Lake to clean up trash along the shoreline. There are many spots to park and pick up trash along the Upper Mystic Lake. Trash is typically located between the shoreline and Mystic Valley Parkway- you will see many “desire lines” where people have made their way to the shoreline.
The CITO event runs from 4:15 pm - 5:30 pm. There is plenty of parking and the watershed is going to supply bags, gloves and grabbers - but you if you have a grabber please bring it as I don't know how many they'll give me.

This cleanup is part of the Mystic River Watershed Association Self Guided Cleanups. This area is one of the areas they are targeting to ensure trash doesn't make it's way down to the ocean. "By removing litter from parks and paths you are reducing the amount of trash that ends up in the water (think: saving ducks, turtles, whales from eating or getting caught in trash!)"
