Geocache Description:


Exploring Sunken lanes of Somerset. Near the village of Spaxton 

a 4 mile route will take you on a loop around fields and tracks.  

Please park at the Village hall in Spaxton.  Local roads are too narrow for parking

The building above is Blaxhold farm. Records show a house here since at least 1637. 

Blaxhold was a settlement in Domesday Book, in the hundred of Andersfield and the county of Somerset.

It had a recorded population of 7 households in 1086, putting it in the smallest 40% of settlements recorded in Domesday and was recorded as Land of Roger of Courseulles one f the Knights who came to Britain as part of the Norman conquest
