A reasonably last-minute change to my plans for the Autumn means that I'll now be heading to Australia for a few weeks in November. I've long wanted to visit this wonderful country and city - in fact, I can recall making plans to make a solo trip here some 21 years ago or so but it never quite happened. Then I had flights booked for 2020, and well you know what happened then.
A decent reason arose to make a visit this November, and so I booked the trip only a couple of weeks ago (which for me is very unusual, I generally book holidays years in advance). Very much looking forward to this, and hopefully, I'll be over what will be some considerable jetlag by the time you see me. In fact, it amused me to no end that when I first looked at the map for where to put this as I was planning my trip, I saw the event by Currykev, who is very familiar in the UK Geocaching circuit and I've done many of his caches. Although I can't remember where his event was exactly now, hopefully, this should be a nice spot with a view over towards the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge.
Can't believe my Australia trip is finally happening, I feel like I've been planning it on and off my entire adult life. Looking forward to seeing local cachers, and if you've got any caching/food/activity recommendations (Lane Cove is already on my list) then please let me know. I'm also aiming to head down to Melbourne for the Mega and GPS Maze there too before heading back to the UK (although because I got my days mixed up, I'm going to be spending a whole 30 minutes at that Mega before I have to head off to catch my flight!!).

The London Calling 2023 Committee are going on tour! We didn't get to do this much during the run-up to our first Mega, so we're very pleased we can get out and about and see lots of local cachers around the country and the world! If you're considering attending our London Mega, then please take a looking at the listing here: GC9MAXX
