This is a 4 stage multiple cache located in Warren, VT. All stages are contained on a trail maintained by the Mad River Path association. Dogs must be leashed. Mountain bikes are prohibited. Total walking distance involved is less than two miles. Parking and the entrance to the trail system is located at the mill on the river(just look for the smoke stack).
The Old Mill Multiple is a 4-stage cache. The first three stages each contain puzzles leading you to the next cache. The 4th cache is the final/main cache with all the goodies. The final cache also has a camera inside, please take a photo of yourself and note the picture number in the log.
The coordinates listed above lead you to the first cache; it’s about the size of an aspirin bottle. In the warmer months the trail accesses one of the valleys better swimming holes. Cache is accessible in all 4 seasons, however, deep snow could present some difficulties.
The most observant geocacher will do well at this multiple cache. Take in your surroundings. This cache was designed to give you a challenge. The terrain is set as a 3 using the sites rating system, however the trail is largely flat and shouldn’t pose much difficulty to the avid geocacher. Enjoy.
