Holy Church of the Archangel Michael
A cache near the early christian church of the Archangel Michael in Episkopi.
The church dates back to the 6th century and is well preserved. It has remarkable mosaics and fragments of paintings from different periods, in at least four successive layers from the 7th until the 14th century. It is named "Rotonda" due to its rare architectural style, which is unique in Crete.
During summer season there is a friendly guide who offers extensive explanation.
The cache is a petling hidden outside the church area.
