NoVAGO 2022 Best Series
"The Blue Max" was my favorite movie for a long time. I have always been a military history enthusiast, particularly dealing with World War I aviation. This film is a true classic with some of the best aviation scenes ever recorded. The fact that it was filmed in 1966 makes it even more impressive. It stars George Peppard as ambitious German pilot Lt. Bruno Stachel, along with James Mason and Ursula Andress.
This cache is being placed in association with the NoVA Chapter of the Military Association of GeoCachers (MAGC) event held nearby each month. If you haven't found the others in the series, they are all fairly close by, so I hope you have time to check them out.
Although not neccesarily a typical hide, this is a pretty simple cammoed cache and it could be a fairly quick find for experienced geocachers but challenging for others. You'll be walking down a short slope into a creek area that will likely be slippery after it rains. Depending on the season, you might also encounter PI, thorns, insects and critters. You will be visible from the nearby sidewalk, so stealth will be required.
Tools are not needed to access the cache. Please carefully replace it exactly as you found it.
You will need your own writing instrument. There is no room for SWAG or trackables. Street parking is available close by. It is technically available 24/7, for safety reasons and respect for the nearby residents, searching should be done only during daylight hours. Please adhere to this.
