Tairbeart is Scottish Gaelic for a narrow strip of land, or isthmus between two lochs, here it is about half way between East and West Loch Tarbert.
A cache placed on what appears to be a mining cart, although we can find no history of mining or quarrying in the immediate area.
This is not only a community hub but offers tea and coffee and excellent food all day until 6pm. There is also a very nice quality artisan gift shop.
Thanks to Corrin & Phil for allowing us to place this cache, both they and their staff are aware of the cache.
Congratulations to 'dyedwestie' on first to find.
