See waypoints provided for parking and start of the short and moderately strenuous hiking trail up the dune into this beautiful coastal forest.
You can find this cache while hiking:
- the Salt River Mouth loop trail (3.8km)- do not attempt at high tide!
- the Nature's Valley Loop (10.4km),
- the Rugpad Via Salt River trail (12.9km)- do not attempt at high tide!
- or simply by walking up and down to the viewpoint from the beach.

You are searching for a small screw-top plastic jar hidden close to the viewpoint. Do not step into the vegetation or off the path as this is SanParks land and vegetation worth protecting! No hint is needed here- there are not many options for a hiding spot and you should find it easily.
Bring your own pen, as always! Enjoy the view, forest, plants amd birdlife!
