Cache #158
The Federation Council is a local government area located in the Riverina region of New South Wales, Australia. This area was formed in 2016 from the merger of the Corowa Shire with its neighbouring Urana Shire. These caches are some random additions to encourage more visitors to this part of the world.
If travelling from Jerilderie you will pass through some fine Riverina grasslands and on the left Lake Urana (which was full when this cache was placed). You will hit the thriving town of Urana and this sign is the first indication you have arrived. You are looking for a micro here now.
This is a busy road but plenty of safe parking here - just be careful with kids and pets here. Snakes are possibility but passing traffic is possibly a bigger threat. Smaller vehicles can park near the creek but largere ones should stay at the sign - I have had to change the coordinates as the nano kept disappearing.
