You are currently on Daniel Boone National Forest Service land within the London Ranger District of KY. The Turkey Foot campground and picnic area are nestled along the banks of War Fork Creek in a gorgeously scenic area that is a great place to rest and relax. This area is free to use and offers vault toilets (mobility accessible) for visitors to use, and the creek is stocked with trout throughout the year for fishing. The area is open year-round, but is prone to flooding in rainy seasons. All campsites (15 of them) are first come, first served, and are wooded, equipped with a picnic table, fire ring, tent pad, and lantern pole. Water, electric, and dump stations are not provided here, therefore it is a pack it in and pack it out area.
You are seeking a micro geocache suspended by a carabiner. Please respect the natural beauty of this area. After locating and signing the log, please place host back exactly on its coords so future cachers can locate it as well. This area may have spotty cell signal, so if using the app, screen shot the map before arriving. Handheld GPS devices will have no issue locating cache here.
