LET’S GO CACHING, AGAIN!!!

Fall is here and there has still been some significant weather activity. I woke up early, loaded 83 containers into the truck and headed out Williamson Valley Road to add more caches to my playground.

They sky was clear and a beautiful, deep blue. I just knew I could get all of my containers placed. I stopped at a couple of caches along the way that needed a little attention. I spent 10 minutes retrieving the original container at “Black Hole”, it is back in service. There was an unusually high amount of traffic in the valley, mostly Deer/Elk hunters and a few geocachers. As the day rolled on, I realized that there was no way I was going to hide all the containers. Clouds started to form, the skies got dark, and rain began to fall. I decided that it would be best to stop at 35 new hides and head for the asphalt.

Should you choose to visit my playground again or for the first, please, always use caution when driving on Forest Service Roads, sometimes they don’t even seem like roads. Remember to bring food and water if you are planning to be out here all day. Cattle, Snakes, Jackrabbits and maybe, even Sasquatch could be lurking.

Cache SAFELY and have a great time out here.

All caches have been placed, using a 4wd, high clearance vehicle. Williamson Valley Road is beat up from the Monsoon, but you will be fine in the family sedan.  Use your decision-making skills if you are uneasy about the road.
