Our geocaches are as diverse and spread out as the members of our organization. Our GeoTour will take you on a journey throughout our region to visit sights, experience scenes, and discover locations that only locals tend to know about. Welcome to a family-owned farm in rural Gararrd County, KY. This farm is approximately 100 acres in size. In the fall of the year, they have a 5 acre corn maze to explore. The owners of the farm have transitioned from the standard farming lifestyle of focusing on all crops and livestock, into one of seasonal activities open to the public for local families (and visitors to the area) to enjoy. The support education and also host school age children and young adults who are studying agriculture, to come out for tours and learn about farm to table practices, as well as building agricultural-focused businesses.
The owners of this farm know there's a geocache here, but they are muggles, so they are excited to learn about this sport and watch you search for the cache. Feel free to wave and say hi if you see them. The geocache you seek is a regular container spray painted in camo paint to help hide it in its surroundings. Because the area is open to the public, the container has been chained to prevent it from disappearing too quickly. Since the container will likely be easy to find, we are making it a little more challenging so you'll have to work for your smiley by solving a small puzzle above it found in the oil can on the post. This puzzle will reveal what the combination is. The cache has room for tradeables, but bring your own writing utensil.
