Time sure does fly. It only seems like it was yesterday when Geocaching first began, then in 2002 a group of geocachers got together to work out a solution to allow geo caches to be placed in some of our Washington State Parks. This group was known as WSGA Washington State Geocaching Association.
From this small group of maybe a couple of dozen people it has grown over the years. To today we have seven local chapters within the state covering all corners of the state.
Early on the group of locals in the Wenatchee Valley were one of the first to create a group of active geocachers and were known as the Cache-Cadains.
This year marks the twentieth year for WSGA, to help celebrate this anniversary They, WSGA has put together a Geo Tour. Each of the seven WSGA chapters were asked to place twenty different cache containers within their respective chapter area. The caches have been placed and the official kickoff date for the Geo-Tour is October 29, 2022 The time these new caches are to go live by Groundspeak is around noon on October 29, 2022.
At this event there will be passports provided for any geocacher who wants to begin the search of these 140 new caches state wide.
Beside the kick off. Your chapter rep will have on hand the WSGA 2202 membership coin for active premium members.
Hope to see you there at Abby’s at 1100 to 1200 hrs. on October 29th.
