Geocache Description:

Stay on trails and do not bushwhack. Be good stewards of the land.

This geocache is part of a reset of the Cache To Eagle series for the BSA Pennsylvania Dutch Council. Feel free to message us with ideas of which Eagle Scout Leadership Service projects to feature with this series. Include as much information as you can. We may not reply immediately, and not every project will have a geocache placed near it. There are many caches near Eagle projects that do not mention the project. Perhaps we will make a bookmark list for those.

Sam Davis led the creation of the nearby sturdy new boardwalk as his Eagle project. He's with Troop 417. The boardwalk on the Spicebush Trail is about 100 feet long and has some decorative turns. It helps keep visitors' feet dry and plants safe from footprints. Thank you, Sam, for your leadership on this important project.

There were no reasonably dry safe places along the new boardwalk, so we placed it at a larger tree just off an older boardwalk in what seems to be a dry place. It's within 6 feet of the trail. You shouldn't need to get your feet extra muddy or step on any plants. Be careful where you step. Do not bushwhack to it. Respect the area.

Original hide: It's a small lock-n-lock container at base of tree.
Hide January 2024: Pill bottle in crotch of tree covered by a fat stick. So it is a small small.

Remember that there is hunting in this area. Wear orange when needed.
