Chrysococcyx oder auch Kuckuck ist eine Vogelart, die in weiten Teilen Afrikas vorkommt. Ähnlich wie der europäische Kuckuck baut er kein eigenes Nest sondern legt sein Ei in ein fremdes Nest und lässt es dort ausbrüten. Auf Sansibar und in weiten Teilen Tansanias gibt es verschiedene Kuckucksarten. Tansania hat sogar eine ganze Briefmarkenserie dieser Vogelart gewidmet. Auf dem Weg zum Geocache könnt ihr Tipitipi, wie der Kuckuck auf Swahili heißt, begegnen. Bitte nicht Nachts suchen. Der Nachbar weiß Bescheid und kommt gerne mit euch ins Gespräch.
