This sprawling park with wetlands and a forest offers camping and trails plus swimming in Liberty Lake.
Liberty Lake Regianal Park provides 3,591 acres of wettlands, lake shore, mountain forest, irrigated lawn areas, ORV Park, equestrian parking area, and a lot more. The park boasts a seasonal campground, rental cabins, vast day-use picnicking areas, designated swimming beach, playground, large picnic shelter and miles of backcountry trail. including the popular 8.3 mile Liberty Lake Loop Trail.
Seasonal Entry Fees are charged on the weekends only in May and September. Daily from Memorial Day through Labor Day: $2.00 per person. Kids under 5 are free. So from October to end of April it is free to park in the big parking lot. During the summer it is free to park before the booth opens at 8:00 AM and after it closes at 4:00 PM, depending on staffing. I noticed a no parking sign near GZ on the road. The parking lot is very near the cache location but the cache itself is non-handicachable. The parking lot does have ADA access to the picnic area. The park is open from dawn to dusk.
