Geocache Description:

An EPITAPH is a short text honoring a person who has died. Strictly speaking, it refers to text that is inscribed on a tombstone or plaque, but it may also be used in a figurative sense. Some epitaphs are specified by the person themselves before their death, while others are chosen by those responsible for the burial. An epitaph may be written in prose or in poem verse, poets have been known to compose their own epitaphs prior to their death.

Inglewood Cemetery was established by Governor McLean in 1877,  and the first recorded burial took place in November 1881.

The Ministry for Culture and Heritage maintains four war graves at this cemetery, relating to the South African War (one grave), World War 1 (two graves) and World War II (one grave).

This is a 6 stage multi in Inglewood's lovely peaceful cemetery. I have not made this intentionally hard so you should get around the stages within 30mins. You can do the stages in any order you like.  Gates close 8.30pm in summer and 6pm in winter but its still accessible if you park on road after these hours.
