LA CARTUCCIA
In questa mia seconda cartuccia Wherigo, andremo a scoprire le tracce del vecchio percorso delle Ferrovie Nord a Novara, che fu in esercizio per 118 anni.
Nel 1882 viene approvato il progetto per una ferrovia tra Novara e Seregno, con prosecuzione a Bergamo, nell'idea di realizzare un percorso alternativo al nodo di Milano.
Non solo Est-Ovest, ma anche Nord-Sud, grazie alla ferrovia della Valmorea (1904-1977) che si distaccherà da Castellanza per arrivare in Svizzera a Mendrisio.
Nel 1884 si costituisce la FNS (Ferrovia Novara Seregno), ed il 31 dicembre 1887 si inaugura la linea, con trazione a vapore.
La FNS delega la gestione a Ferrovie Nord Milano nel 1890, ma fallisce l'anno successivo e viene ufficialmente acquisita in quest'ultima nel 1943.
E con questo nome, Ferrovie Nord, ci si riferisce comunemente ancora oggi: fondamentale alternativa per Milano, con un cambio si può andare anche a Malpensa aeroporto, Como e Varese.
Mi sono preso qualche licenza artistica per far scorrere meglio il gioco: non preoccuparti se sbagli qualche passaggio, avrai sempre abbastanza informazioni per arrivare al finale, l'importante è divertirsi ;)

Alle coordinate del listing troverete un parcheggio dove lasciare l'auto, ed altri sono indicati nei waypoint.
Se venite a Novara in treno, entrambe le stazioni sono vicine al percorso: uscite verso via Leonardo da Vinci.
Vi consiglio di fare il percorso a piedi o in bici.
THE CARTRIDGE
In this second Wherigo cartridge of mine, we will discover the traces of the old route of the Ferrovie Nord in Novara, which was in operation for 118 years.
In 1882 the project for a railway between Novara and Seregno was approved, with continuation to Bergamo, with the idea of creating an alternative route to the Milan junction.
Not only East-West, but also North-South, thanks to the Valmorea railway (1904-1977) which will detach itself from Castellanza to reach Mendrisio in Switzerland.
In 1884 the FNS (Ferrovia Novara Seregno) was established, and on 31 December 1887 the line was inaugurated, with steam traction.
The FNS delegated the management to Ferrovie Nord Milano in 1890, but it went bankrupt the following year and was officially acquired by the latter in 1943.
And with this name, Ferrovie Nord, we still commonly refer to it today: a fundamental alternative for Milan, with a change you can also go to Malpensa airport, Como and Varese.
I took some artistic license to make the game flow better: don't worry if you miss some steps, you will always have enough information to get to the end, the important thing is to have fun ;)

LOGISTIC NOTES
At the coordinates of the listing you will find a parking lot where you can leave your car, and others are indicated in the waypoints.
If you come to Novara by train, both stations are close to the route: exit towards via Leonardo da Vinci.
I recommend you to do the route on foot or by bike.
