150 metri più su in questa strada troverete il castagno monumentale CASTANEA sativa MILLER (Castagno Europeo) (per gli amici “El Castagner”) ed ha più di 300 anni. Si narra la storia di un uomo che sotto “El Castagner” venne accoltellato per vendetta, per gelosia o per litigio e che, pur gravemente ferito, riuscì a raggiungere l’ospedale e salvarsi.
Un altro lo si trova nel giardino di Casa Freya alle coordinate N45° 47.988' E11° 54.842' (https://goo.gl/maps/KD4KVDMv2pZN4J9e8), visibile in parte anche dalla strada principale esterna alla proprietà. La pianta è classificata nella lista dei circa 22.000 alberi monumentali italiani tutelati dalla guardia forestale e uno dei 16 dislocati in provincia di Treviso. È un grande leccio (Quercus ilex) la cui circonferenza è di 4,8 metri, per un'altezza di 22.
