Parking is at the posted coordinates, in the lot next to the Gastonia Police Department.
Getting another local opportunity in the Greater Charlotte area to get the CITO 2022 Season 2 souvenir. To that end, we'll be doing trash pickup along the Highland Rail Trail aka the Norfolk Southern Railroad Trail (whose south end is a few feet past this parking lot). If we have a big enough turnout, we may drop part of the team partway along the trail to divide & conquer.
I will provide trash bags & water bottles, and have a few extra pairs of gloves available first come, first serve. Please bring work gloves, although I will have a few backup pairs in case. I do not have any trash pickers, so please BYO if you want to utilize one. There is no need for safety vests, as we will not be working near the road (except to cross to the next section of trail).
