Continuing with the Star Wars Theme for trails in Cranbrook’s Community Forest, a new trail named the “Pod Racer Trail”has been designed and constructed with e-bikes in mind. The trail itself is 8 kilometres long, does not cross any other trail, the beginning or end of the trail is approximately 1 kilometre from either the parking lot at Eager Hill or the parking area near the Junction of Highways #3 and #95. The elevation gain for this wide trail is 92 metres, with gentle grades making for a pleasant bike or hike. The trail is hard packed consisting of clay in places and In rainy weather the trail surface will be soft, slick and in places it could be muddy. Bring a lunch, walk your dog or ride your bike to the top. Great views so bring your camera. BYOP
