This is the bonus cache for A Walk in Englemere Pond Nature Reserve AdLab
Englemere Pond is a Site of Special Scientific Interest. The site is also a Local Nature Reserve. It is owned by the Crown Estate and managed by Bracknell Forest Council.
The land for most of its recorded history has been part of a great Royal Hunting Forest that surrounded Windsor Castle.
Open water and marshes are surrounded by commercial forest and heathland areas, each of which provide their own variety of plant species and a home for many birds, insects and animals.
The reed bed and shallow lake is important for many specialised birds and insects including grass snakes and the boggy areas are important for the strange and beautiful plant: the round-leaved sundew.
The cache is place with the permission of the local rangers, who ask please keep to the paths to prevent disturbing the wildlife.
The cache is not at the posted coordinates but is the bonus cache, associated with the A Walk in Englemere Pond Nature Reserve.
