I wanted to highlight places that people pass by everyday in the city of Washington as well as the surrounding area so I decided to make a series that encapsulated just that. Each location is named after a different gemstone to signify the uniqueness of each area. This is because each place is either like a hidden gem or an eye-catching points of interest. This particular geocache is located at the Holy Trinity Polish National Catholic Church cemetery. This polish cemetery is also located near the Polish American Citizens Beneficial Society. As you can tell, there was a lull of Polish immirgation that began to settle in Washington, Pennsylvania in the early 1900s but in modern day Washington, you can still see some of these cultural influences with features such as street names, architeture, and food. However as with any resting place, please be mindful of where you are and use stealth to get this cache. The gates are open but no night caching.
