This will be our 10th Xmas event, and will be the first one away from the traditional home event.
Many thanks to those who offered their place's as a venue this year. It was very much appreciated and great to know we had plenty of options.
We have settled on this venue as a nice relaxed BBQ area, with some established caches, and if all goes well, hopefully we'll get time to place a new cache or two as well. No guarantees at this stage though!
WHAT TO BRING;-
- Bring some food to share for a BBQ lunch. Meat, salads, drinks etc
- your own plates, cutlery and cups
- a seat or picnic blanket. There are some picnic tables around, but if you want to be sure of a seat, bring your own.
- OPTIONAL - a wrapped secret santa Christmas present around the $10 value. These will be numbered and placed in either the adult or children's boxes, as appropriate, and will be drawn later in the afternoon, or be sure to draw a number before you leave. If you wish, you may bring more than one present so that everyone in your group/family gets one, as long as you take out the same number you put in. Please supervise your children with this, so they take from the correct box
*This year we will try doing this a little different. Please get a number written on your present before placing it in the box. then we will draw numbers to see who gets what present, making it totally random, and hopefully more fun!
CHRISTMAS TREATS
As with previous years, there will be a homemade geocaching themed christmas decoration for anyone who attends (please log a will attend to ensure you get one of these), and christmas themed pet rocks for anyone who wants one (if I can find them in the storage unit).

Should the weather not 'play ball', we have a plan 'B', which will be the Whanganui Swiss Avenue scout hall (a big thanks to watcache for providing this). There will be a note on this page and all registered to attend will be notified if this change in venue is necessary.
