Veteran's Day Weekend, Sunday, November 13th, 1:30-2:30 pm
Port Gamble Forest Heritage Park
Cache IN, Invasives OUT
Meet our group at the Port Gamble Cutoff Road Trailhead per coordinates listed!
Instructions and locations will be provided at the trailhead.
As a Kitsap County Parks Forest Steward Volunteer, DiscGolfBirdie has been spending time with the KCP Natural Resources staff in the Port Gamble Forest Heritage Park, counting and measuring trees. Removal of invasives (ivy, holly, and Scotch Broom) is an ongoing volunteer effort in our local forests and will show our appreciation and care for the trails. Click here for a calendar of regular Kitsap County Parks opportunities.
To log your participation in a CITO, you are expected to work for at least one hour, but you are welcome to stay longer. If you want to attend, yet are physically unable to do a hike, there is plant removal work near the trailhead.
Bring your own gloves, cutting tools, snacks, and water. Wear sturdy shoes and shirts or jackets with sleeves. Earn your CITO Season 2 souvenir!
