A multi in Granard Road wetlands. The wetlands include Stable Swamp Creek which flows from Sunnybank Hills and joins Oxley Creek near Oxley Creek Common. The Oxley Creek Catchment Association is working to rehabilitate this area after years of neglect, rubbish dumping, and run-0ff from surrounding industrial activity. Interestingly, a new high school is to be built nearby on what appears to be flood susceptible land. I hope they put it on Queenslander type stilts!
At the posted location you will find information on the offset required to find the cache. It may be possible to walk directly to the final location, but following nearby roads would be much more sensible. There is a fairly large carpark nearby, but it may be possible to parke elsewhere with care. But remember Granard Road is very busy, and parking on the nearby Ipswich road is definitely not allowed or recommended.
The park near GZ has a shelter and picnic table which seems to get little use, so you could stop for a cuppa or picnic. Bird watchers report many species ahve been sighted here.
Vertically challenged finders may have to enlist some help.
