The football World Cup will begin on November 20th in Qatar. The World Cup is one of my favorite sport events. Word finder is one of my favorite puzzles. This mystery cache will combine both.
Posted coordinates are at the Ramat Gan Natiinal Stadium, which hosted the football national team home games for decades. Its capacity was 50,000. I attended few of the matches. However the stadium has been standing vacant for the last few years, waiting for rennovations, while the games are now being played in other more modern venues.
The following word finder hides 20 football players who played in world cups. Actually 22, since two names can point to two different players. Anyway, there are 20 unique names in the grid to find. Solution is either family name or the famous nickname a player is known for.
But don't worry, you are not looking for any player who ever played in the World Cup. There is a connection between the 20 names, a threshold they passed. And some of them are legends of the game.
Few cells will remain unused after all 20 names are revealed. This will be the string solution in the checker. The string of letters and numbers should be added in order, where A1 is the first cell of the grid, and J10 is the last, from top to bottom, from left to right.
