Geocache Description:

01 January 2023, 05:30 - 06:00

Date: 1st Janurary 2023

Time: Sunrise is at 5.50am, recommend allowing 10minutes from parking to getting to GZ (without stopping for other geocaches).

Location: Bench at the end of Second Beach, path entrance is by Salt Water Pools, St Clair.

7 years ago on this event we had the first Sunrise event (https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC5F3A9_lets-say-hello-to-2015-together) hosted by Team ERw2 (2512).

Since then I have tried to hold a sunrise event each year, as I find it a nice way to welocme in a New Year.

In the event the weather is really bad, the event will be moved to the front of the pool building where there is some shelter.

Why come along? To watch a stunning sunrise (fingers crossed) and be one of the first in the world to earn a 'Full Sail' Souvenir.

After the event I will be heading north to Christchurch - if there are any TBs needing a ride this way bring them along to this event or PM me to arrange collection.

Please ensure all attendees follow the advise set out in www.covid19.org.nz.
