This cache is hidden in the exact place where my son and I found our milestone 100th geocache. If you've also found that one, this is very similar.
We found that milestone cache in the dark on a cold January night as the 2020 Keokuk City of Christmas was wrapping up. We could hear Christmas music as we searched and the lights made a subtle ambient glow reflected from the snow. I was pretty jaded about Christmas until I had my son to share it with. That find was magical and worthy of one of our first milestones. Aside from the annual Christmas drives I do have some fond memories of family time at Rand Park as a kid; my grandparent's church used to have events here. I think it's a bummer that it got archived so I thought I'd leave another in its place.
This may be a little challenging depending on conditions if you choose to go for it in the winter as we did. If you are searching for this during the holiday season please do not park within the City of Christmas driving route. KeokukDiscer snagged the FTF!
