Geocache Description:

Named after my caching canine companion, Autumn, this is the second cache we have hidden in Mahlon Dickenson Reservation. Suggested parking can be found off Weldon Rd., in the Saffin Pond parking lot, at around N 41° 00.450’, W074°35.181’. This is NOT hidden in the standard Skully & Mulder et al. style.

There are plenty of ways to access this cache, but I am very familiar with the area, and I promise that from the suggested parking area is the most rewarding and not that difficult. You can take the short hike around the pond, and observe the damage the beavers have done to this area. The container is a 50 cal ammo can with a bunch of stuff inside. The contents includes: WG$’s, giant markers, sleeve of golf balls (please take the whole sleeve), screwdriver set, army car, calculator, pliers, tape measure, & toy frog. One last word of caution – some of the terrain by the cache site is treacherous, and we did see a couple of small mice by the actual cache site. No cheater for now, but if you can’t find it, e-mail me and I will give you as many clues as you want.
