Geocache Description:

Shaffer's Bridge is one of Somerset County's historic covered bridges. Built in 1877, it crosses Ben's Creek south of Johnstown. It is 68 feet, 2 inches long and was named to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. There was a geocache here in the past, but during recent refurbishing of the bridge, it was apparently archived. We felt this place needed a new one. The cache is not on the bridge, but close by. It is not on the Posted property. You will be looking for a preform tube, hanging.
